Color/Appearance: The heartwood is pale brown to purplish brown color, with a purplish tinge. The sapwood is paler in color.

Grain/Texture: The direction of the fiber is variable, wavy, interlocked or irregular grain is found. Texture is usually fine to medium.

Workability: It is easy to resaw and cross-cut. Planing is easy and finish and polishes well.

Sustainability: This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
